One-Stop-Shop Certification & Auditing
Our European and global auditors dwide can combine Factory Production Control (FPC) audits for the EU Construction Products Regulation with UK FPC audits for UKCA marking, as well as Module D audits for UK and EU Marine Equipment, providing a cost-effective solution for manufacturers targeting both EU & UK markets.
CPR Systems of Assessment and Verification of Constancy of Performance (AVCP)
AVCP 1 and 1+
- System 1 products typically have added Flame Retardant (FR) such as flooring, wall-coverings, insulation products and membranes.
- The Notified Body conducts the initial FPC audit, and takes samples for the initial type test, usually the fire classification.
- Once the audit and testing is complete, the FPC certificate is issued by Shirley®, and the manufacturer can complete their Declaration of Performance (DoP) and apply the CE mark.
- The Notified Body must carry out annual FPC surveillance audits at the manufacturing site, and for System 1+, select products for annual audit testing.
AVCP 2+
- System 2+ products are typically geosynthetics, geobarriers, and membranes that do not require fire testing.
- The Notified Body conducts the initial FPC audit. The manufacturer is responsible for testing the product, and declaring the performance.
- BTTG® UKAS accredited Industrial Materials laboratory can be used for the testing of these products.
- Once the audit is complete, and the manufacturer has drafted their Declaration of Performance (DoP), the FPC certificate is issued by Shirley®, and the manufacturer can apply the CE mark.
- The Notified Body must carry out annual FPC surveillance audits at the manufacturing site.
AVCP 3
- System 3 products are typically without any added FR agent, and include flooring, wall-coverings, insulation products and membranes.
- There is no need for FPC audits with System 3 products.
- The manufacturer must submit their System 3 product to an EU Notified Laboratory for the initial type testing for CE marking, and a UK Approved Laboratory for UKCA marking.
- The Industrial Materials and Fire laboratories of our Sister Company BTTG® are UK Approved Laboratory 0338.
- BTTG® laboratories can arrange for EU testing when conducting UK testing, allowing Manufacturers to make their Declaration of Performance (DoP), and apply the EU and UKCA marks.
